Electrostatic
forces
All matter is put together by electrostatic forces. Forces that come about due to charged particles attracting each other. |

Rub a balloon against
a woolen fabric or carpet. Static electricity builds up and we can actually
attract other charged particles or even neutral objects. Using a balloon
see how many items around the room you can attract and explain the reason
for the attraction. Below is a table with some examples, complete the rest.
Giving a reason to describe the behaviour may be a little difficult at this stage, so navigate through the links and pick up as much information on the eletrostatic nature of matter as you can. |
