Molarity and volume

Example - The glass on the right contains a sugar solution with a 0.1M sugar solution. We require 0.01mole of sugar. What volume of the solution is required to give us 0.01mole?

Look at the formula above. Mole/concentration = volume.
So 0.01/0.1 = 0.1litres. This equates to 100mls.

Glass containing a solution of sugar with a concentration of 0.1M.
