1 watt = 1 ampere X 1 volt When charge flows through a conductor it expends energy. This results in a coil heating, a light globe glowing or a motor turning. Electric power can be defined as the rate at which electrical energy is converted to other forms of energy such as heat , in the case of a toaster or mechanical energy in the case of motor. |
