Bernoulli's project
Most tennis players use the top spin as a very effective shot to play. The ball spins forward and dips quickly into the ground. Explain this phenomenon in terms of Bernoulli's law. Use the word turbulence.

A piece of paper is placed on top of the steering wheel of a moving vehicle. The driver opens the window as the car is moving at high speed. Predict what will happen to the piece of paper. Using Bernoulli's law explain this phenomenon.

Papers left on the instrument panel of a car are quickly sucked out the window.

Place some chalk dust on a bench top. Obtain a 2 metre long rubber tubing. Swing one end of the tube over your head and place the other end on the chalk dust. The chalk dust is sucked up the tube. Explain this phenomenon in terms of Bernoulli's law.
A spinning tube can be used as a very primitive vacuum cleaner. One end of the tubing is held ont he chalk dust. The other end of the tubing is spun around quickly.
