Height calculations

Using a calculator to work out the height.
Use a calculator for the height calculations.

You will need a calculator.
Step 1 Type in the value of the angle (in this case 20)
Step 2 Press the Tan button( this changes the angle into a tan value)
Step 3 Multiply this figure by the distance the observer was from the launch site.(in this case 100m)

 
The result is the height the rocket achieved. In this case 36.39 metres is the calculated height.
