Speed racers - wheels and axles.

Locate the batteries and the battery holder. It is easier if the batteries are placed into the battery holder before any assembly takes place.

Step 1 Using a hot glue gun, glue the battery holder under the body of the car

Step 2 Glue two large wheels together making sure they overlap perfectly and the hole is centered. Repeat with the other set of large wheels

Step 3 Repeat step 2 but this time using the small wheels.

Step 4 Glue the metal axle to the first set of large wheels. Do this with one set of small wheels as well and let the glue cool while the axle is kept vertical to the surface of the table.

Step 5 Place a spacer ring at the point where the axle is glued to the wheel for both the large and the small wheels. Slide the axle into the yellow bearings and glue the second wheel to the axle.

Step 6 The large wheels should be stable and turn without any wobble in rotation. The same goes for the small wheels.

Test drive the vehicle.

The vehicle should now be ready for the wiring. It is time to check that the wheels turn with minimal friction and without touching the body as they rotate. It is now that you should make a final correction for any wobble in rotation.
