Nose cone
The nose cone balsa wood block with flush mount ring attached.

Step 1) Centre and glue the flush mount ring to the base of the nose cone block. Wait till the glue sets.

Step 2) Screw in the screw eye as shown. (this step is not essential at this stage)

 
Step 3) Using sand paper shape the nose cone to the desired shape. Use the flush mount ring as a guide as to how much you should take from the balsa block.

The finished product can now be painted.
 Step 4) The finished nose cone should fit snuggly into the body tube and is now ready for painting. A smooth surface will reduce friction drag.
