Magnification

To calculate the magnification of an object one must multiply the eye piece magnification (10X) by the objective lens magnification (100X).

In this case the magnification of the object observed is 1000 times its actual size.

It is important to record the magnification, as certain details are visible only under high magnification.

Take a bee's wing for example.Describe its features as seen under 10X, 60X and 200X magnifications.
