Solubility unsaturated solution |
A solution is said to be unsaturated when more solute can dissolve in the given amount of solvent at a particular temperature. If a solid crystal of the solute is placed in the unsaturated solution it will decrease in size as it dissolves. |
The solute particles dissolve in the solvent. The rate at which particles leave the crystal is significantly greater than the rate at which solute particles stick to the crystal. | |
