Mousetrap construction.
The body and wheels

Step 1 You will need the following parts. You may get them from the kit or you may select your own.
1) The body of the car (approximately a 30cm X 5 cm square piece of wood)
2) 4 wheels
3) 2 metal axles
4) 1 mousetrap or its spring
5) 4 screw eyes.
Step 2) Attach the mousetrap to the wood. A few ways are possible. The simplest way is to glue the mouse trap base to the wood. More elaborate ways are shown here on the right and below.
You may wish to just use the spring. It is possible to detach the spring from the trap and attach it to the body of your vehicle as shown on the left.
Step 3) Attach the screw eyes as shown on the right to the top of you vehicle. They will form the bearing to hold the rear wheel axle.
Step 4) Prepare the wheels. Now you can choose to have big wheels and CDs make great wheels. Attach the small wheels to the CD (or wheel of your choice) as shown on the left.

Step 5) Attach the axle to the rear wheels.
